I bought a van!

Ever since seeing van life videos on youtube I’ve wanted to get a van of my own and slowly convert it into an adventure van that I can take on trips and maybe one day take it on some longer travels.

I have spent the last 2 years researching everything to do with van life, from picking the right van to picking the right curtains. And after what seemed like forever, I managed to save enough money and now my project has started.

Its a VW T4 2.5tdi swb completely basic panel van with 180k miles. Theres a few dents and a bit of rust but its generally pretty tidy. As it already looks fairly decent I have no plans to refurb the exterior in the near future so I can save money and spend more time on the inside. Although a couple wheel arches could do with a tidy up.

I love going on short trips just for a night or 2 where I usually sleep in a tent or in my car.  With the van I will have lots more space and a hell of a lot more comfort. As well as this, after the conversion it will have a bed, fridge, hobs and power outlets so I can sleep comfortably, cook and store food and not have to worry about my laptop running out of battery.

The first steps of my project will be cleaning every surface that I can get to. Its going to be a massive job as its caked in 15 years worth of mud and grime but I look forward to seeing it come together.

I will be documenting each stage of the project through this blog so click the follow button to keep up with my progress.

Peace! ✌🏽
